On Friday, across school, children took part in the ‘Take 10 Minutes to Read’ initiative by the National Literacy Trust. All children read their book and took time to continue to foster their love for reading. At Marton, we love our library and the books we have. Mrs Airey, our Reading Champion, said, ” The Take 10 to read was a great success this morning. All the children enjoyed some quiet time to immerse themselves in their chosen books!”
“I love reading my Harry Potter books and I have three books on the go at the moment. One at home and two at school. I am so glad my Lexile range is improving all of the time!” exclaimed Percy in Year 5
